What is the average call schedule?
A
Primary care physicians enter into a call schedule with other providers as needed. Specialists are typically on call every fourth day.

Does Methodist have Hospitalist Coverage?
A
Methodist provides hospitalist coverage at both campus locations on a 24/7 basis.

How many ICU Rooms do you have at each campus?
A 

Expansion of the ICU’s at both campus locations is a key part of the master Facility Plan. This will increase the overall number of ICU rooms at both campus locations. Currently, Methodist presents 33 total ICU rooms. 21 ICU rooms at Southlake (6 Neurology ICU and 15 ICU) and 12 ICU rooms at Northlake.

How far apart are the campuses?
A 

The Northlake Campus and Southlake Campus sit approximately 13 miles apart and are easily accessible by interstate highway or main streets. 
The Midlake Campus is located in between these two campuses approximately 3 miles from the Northlake Campus.

What services are offered at each campus?
A
The Northlake and Southlake Campuses are full service inpatient facilities. With the exception of open heart surgery, the da Vinci Surgical System, and the Gamma Knife Center, located at the Southlake Campus and the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit located at the Northlake Campus, the services offered at these two campuses mirror one another. Methodist recently received Level III Trauma designation at the Northlake facility as well. The Midlake Campus houses Physician offices, Rehabilitation Services and a Multi-Specialty Center.

Are physicians required to take call at both campuses?
A 

Physicians have staff privileges at both campus locations and are expected to take call at both locations as well.

What EMR is utilized at the Methodist Hospitals?
A 

Methodist Hospitals is fully integrated system-wide with the EpicCare Electronic Medical Record System. The award-winning EpicCare EMR is known for being fast and physician-friendly. Integrated access and revenue systems simplify administration. The “one patient, one record” approach improves care in the ambulatory setting, practice, or hospital. Epic allows convenient access for patients, allowing them to participate in the management of their health. Millions of patients access their records via MyChart – literally the same chart used by their doctors. Patients can schedule appointments, get test results and print growth charts, freeing up time and easing the continuity of care for you and your staff.

What information is available to show progress within my practice?
A 

A number of standard reports are available to monitor the progress of the physician’s practice. These reports are shared with the physicians on a monthly basis. Ad hoc reporting is available as well to address specific questions identified by the physicians.

What happens after my initial contract is over?
A
Expectations of performance and the development of the practice are shared with the physician throughout the initial term of the agreement. This will serve as a baseline for identifying the parameters associated with renewal of the agreement.

What is the organizational structure for the physicians within MPG?
A
Dr. Michael Linton is the Medical Director for the Methodist Physician Group. An Advisory Committee comprised of four employed physicians has been assembled to provide guidance and input into the overall development of the Group.

How will the Hospital support the growth of my practice?
A 

Coordinated marketing plans are established for each physician within the network. This includes participation in health fairs, advertisements, presentations and other strategies to promote the physicians.

Am I eligible for incentive compensation?
A
All physicians are eligible for incentive compensation after the first year of the agreement.
